POST-SECONDARY

Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning

The design is built upon the University of Calgary’s ideas of integrated learning and sustainable flexible space. The desire for a remarkable building that signals the University’s commitment to teaching continues to be achieved as an attractive pavilion with a large lit canopy visible from afar. The canopy is a spine that runs through the building as a public atrium. The main program elements of public forum, structured learning omni-studios, group work rooms and administration areas are all open to the naturally lit atrium.

GGA were Architect of Record in collaboration with Diamond Schmitt Architects.
