Designing with a purpose

INSIDE THE STUDIO

This is what we do.

WHO WE ARE

We believe in working in accordance with our beliefs.

Our work with Indigenous communities is central to our practice.

GGA-Architecture acknowledges the traditional territories and practices of the Treaty 7 Nations, including the Siksikaitsitapi, comprised of the Siksika, Kainai, and Piikani and the Amskapi Piikani Nations. We acknowledge the Tsuut’ina Nation, The Iyarhe Nakoda Nations comprised of the Chiniki, Bearspaw and Goodstoney Nations, and the Métis Nation within Alberta. The land that we gather on is known as Moh'kinstsis (Blackfoot), Guts’ists’i (Tsuut’ina), Wîchîspa (Nakoda), and otôskwanihk (Northern Michif & Cree). GGA Architecture is honored to call these lands home.
As Architects, our work requires respectful and responsible engagement with the land. This means collaborating with the Indigenous peoples who have cared for these territories since time immemorial to ensure our designs remain respectful, inclusive, and supportive of reconciliAction. A meaningful land acknowledgement is an essential expression of our commitment.
