Meredith Block

Meredith Block is an innovative mixed-use development that combines commercial spaces on the ground floor with office spaces spanning the second to the sixth floors. Standing at seven stories, it rises higher and denser than the surrounding structures, yet its design thoughtfully steps back above the fifth floor to reduce its street presence and create a more human-scale experience that aligns with the neighbouring buildings at the pedestrian level. The building's overall appearance resembles a five-story structure to blend seamlessly with the area's character.

Meredith Block plays a key role in revitalizing the historic community of Bridgeland with its location just north of the Bow River on the outskirts of Calgary's downtown core. This new development injects life and energy into the neighbourhood—enhancing both the grade-level experience and overall community density. The project is sensitively designed to reflect the existing materiality of the historic district but utilizes industry-leading planning and efficient design to attract new tenants.
