The Calgary Zoo's conservatory at night where the glass structures are lit up with a warm glow against the inky blue sky. A shooting star can be seen traveling above the building.
CULTURAL

ENMAX Conservatory at the Calgary Zoo

The Calgary Zoo Enmax conservatory project evolved around the reuse and reinvention of two 40-year-old greenhouse structures. New energy efficient glazing systems were added to the existing steel structures to provide a more supportive environment for the butterfly and ethnobotany pavilions. Public multi-purpose space was used to inter-connect a combined tea house/chapel, a banquet hall and education spaces. Designed to meet LEED Silver Standards.
