Designed to reflect the unique character and quality of the town of Canmore, this facility acts as an iconic gateway to the more intimate town centre. The building extends the pedestrian experience from ‘Main Street’ with an exciting event plaza creating a dynamic forecourt to the building. The common circulation space opens up to the plaza and leads people along sheared walls of stone and wood to the impressive world class climbing walls. The dominant features of the space include a glulam wood structure and the end glazing wall which looks out towards Canmore’s signature Three Sister’s Mountain Range.
