Eighth Avenue consists of two new state-of-the-art office towers integrated with a four-storey podium offering retail at the grade and +15 levels and a three-storey high indoor park. The total gross area for the project is 2,009,240 sq. ft. The towers are 49 and 39 floors tall respectively with fully screened rooftop equipment above. The image for the project is intended to define this office complex as a distinctly Calgarian building using a geological metaphor of shifting mountain plates and a horizontal glass composition of the mountain screen at the base. Each tower features a dramatic full-height sloping glass wall meant to symbolize ice walls and glaciers, each facing the splendid views of the Rockies.
