The towers are differentiated by their dramatic full-height sloping glass walls, which symbolize the ice walls and glaciers of the nearby Rocky Mountains. This design not only offers stunning views of the Rockies but also seamlessly integrates with Calgary’s skyline. Using a hybrid structural steel frame with a concrete core marks the first time since 1984 that such a structure has been employed in a high-rise building in Calgary.

Eighth Avenue Place is a leader in sustainable building practices, earning the distinction of being Canada’s first LEED Platinum-CS high-rise office building. Its numerous environmental features include low-flow and water-saving plumbing fixtures, high-efficiency lighting systems and shaded windows that enhance energy efficiency by keeping the building cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The green roof—one of the largest in the country at 30,000 square feet—plays a crucial role in mitigating the heat island effect and managing stormwater.

This development also emphasizes occupant well-being and convenience by offering amenities such as a fitness centre, conference facilities, bike storage and executive car wash services. With 21 elevators and six levels of underground parking, Eighth Avenue Place is designed for efficiency and comfort.
