Centennial Parkade

This parkade was inspired by the historic warehouses that once lined Calgary’s downtown CPR tracks in the early 1900s. Its design features large openings infilled with steel and glass, evoking the scale and presence of the industrial buildings that influenced it. The facility provides 840 parking stalls, with one and a half levels below grade and five above, along with over 1,000 square meters of office and retail space. A prominent brick façade creates a visible, iconic presence in the downtown context, while a pedestrian-friendly colonnade stretches along the south-facing 9th Avenue frontage. The parkade integrates with Calgary’s +15 network to provide safe, convenient pedestrian connections and offers critical parking to support downtown activity, balancing functionality with a design that reflects the city’s architectural heritage.
