The Arnika Centre for developmental disabilities mental health provides medical support services working with caregivers and community agencies to stabilize individuals with an intellectual disability and a mental health problem in their communities. It provides a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to assessing and treating mental illness. In addition, educational opportunities are provided with the University of Calgary.
GGA were engaged by the landlord, NorthWest Healthcare Properties, who were contracted by AHS to provide a full turn key for this new facility in NE Calgary. GGA provided prime consultant architectural and interior design services for the project. GGA worked closely with the Alberta Health Services stakeholders to verify their program elements and develop a design concept which meets their objectives.
