GGA-Architecture was commissioned as the key coordinating consultant in the development of the Alberta Regional Distribution Centre (i.e., the Western Canadian distribution hub for the new-to-Canada retailer). Spanning an impressive 1.3 million square feet, the structure is predominantly comprised of pre-cast concrete and composite metal. GGA worked closely with Intelligrated, the consultant responsible for the implementation of the centre’s extensive conveyor belt system. With the system designed around an automated format, the successful coordination of this design element was essential.
